The John Lennon Songwriting Contest

Purpose

The John Lennon Songwriting Contest is a great contest that started back in 1997 and runs twice a year. It is open to both amateur and professional songwriters.

Like a lot of the other top competitions you don't need a professional recording to enter. Your songs will be judged on originality, melody, composition and lyrics.

The judging panel is made up of well known musicians and industry professionals.

There is some really great prizes in this competition and an awful lot of them, too many to mention here.

Entry Requirements

The entry fee is $30 per entry.

Production and recording quality is not an issue with the judges so the entry does not need to be a professional recording.
