MasterWriter Review

Master Writer is a software suite used by the likes of celebrated writers such as William Peter Blatty, Andrew David and many others, and for good reason. MasterWriter is the most comprehensive suite of tools for creative writing, with an unbelievable number of dictionaries embedded within it.

MasterWriter Review

MasterWriter Review Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary provides the words and their definitions in MasterWriter. This dictionary contains more than 165,000 entries and 225,000 definitions.

While primarily a software suite filled with numerous features for creative writing, just the dictionary makes MasterWriter worth a buy for every song-writer out there.

MasterWriter is primarily software for managing all your songwriting projects. You can create, write and save projects right on the main screen. The ability to search by word through your projects makes finding a specific file a breeze. It also comes with audio recording software that records and stores the proper pronunciation of words.

The software is very simple and easy to use, allowing you to focus on the creative aspects of the project instead of worrying about how to run the program. You simply type in a word, and you can get results for it from the thesaurus, or the dictionary.

You can even get rhyming words for your query, with the ability to refine your search results with filters. This allows you to specify filters such as emotion, syllables etc. The results are generated quickly, and navigation is a breeze since you do not have to keep typing in the word into different search boxes.

One major deficiency is that when you click on a search result of your primary word, you do not automatically get its dictionary definition. You have to run a search using the secondary word.

Another delightful little feature in MasterWriter is the Pop-culture tab. If you are researching famous people or events of historical significance, MasterWriter will provide you the information you need in a jiffy. The search function is simple enough, allowing you to search through categories which generate results from Wikipedia. You can access this feature from any section of the software.

According to the makers of the software, MasterWriter contains 36,000 rhyming phrases, not counting the separate section with 33,000 phrases. It also has 100,000 rhyming words and 11,000 icons of historical significance.

Besides this, factor in the 340,000 synonyms, antonyms and idioms, and you have a software that is packed to the gills with content. Also, all of this information nests together in an intuitive and easy-to-access database which makes finding and using relevant information extremely simple.

As mentioned earlier, the software has a simple, straightforward interface. In spite of this, if you need help and support, comprehensive online help guides as well as video tutorials are available. Besides this, technical support is just an e-mail or a call away.

To sum things up, sure MasterWriter has some quirks. But there is no denying the fact that this software is a keeper. It is almost like having a co-writer with you, who is giving you endless inspiration and material. No wonder it is hugely popular.
